Adele Speaks Out Against Pressures to Breastfeed-Adele Addresses Pressure to Breastfeed

Adele has some strong words for people forcing mothers to breastfeed. The "Hello" singer, who's apt to be candid at her shows (she's brought fans onstage and denounced terrorists at previous stops on the tour) defended moms who don't breastfeed during a show at the London 02 arena last week.

"It's f*cking ridiculous, and all those people who put pressure on us, you can go f*ck yourselves, alright?" she said, when a fan brought up the topic during a break in her concert. The audience cheered her on.

"Because it's hard," she added. "Some of us can't do it. I managed about nine weeks with my boobs."

The pop star was reportedly responding to earlier comments by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, who told Britain's LBC Radio that the country had a problem with not enough women breastfeeding.

Adele, whose son Angelo is now 3 years old, told the audience that she loved using formula. "All I wanted to do was breastfeed and then I couldn't and then I felt like, if I was in the jungle now back in the day, my kid would be dead because my milk's gone," she humorously added.
