Heidi Klum's 2018 Halloween Costume Was Fiona from 'Shrek'

Heidi Klum never fails to impress on Halloween. This year, the supermodel dressed up as Princess Fiona and her boyfriend Tom Kaulitz went as Shrek. The duo stole the show as they walked the red carpet for Klum's annual costume party in New York City last night.

As usual, Klum's look went beyond the dress and wig; she also wore full-on prosthetic makeup on her face, chest, hands (look at her fingers!), and feet. She even had little ogre ears poking out of her red wig, making the ensemble as realistic as possible. Kaulitz also had his look down to a T, complete with special effects makeup and Shrek's signature tunic and vest.

And, because a good costume can only get better with props, Klum also brought along a wooden stroller with a couple of green ogre babies.

Before shocking us on the red carpet, Klum teased her meticulous transformation with clips on social media. "Okay everyone, it's Halloween. Here. We. Go!" she said in the first clip, getting her fans excited for the long-awaited costume reveal.

First, she showed off the prosthetic application.

She and Kaulitz also shared a greened-out selfie mid-transformation.

She followed with a video of the musician getting the rest of his makeup done. The prosthetics team even had someone on hand with a fan to dry the elaborate cosmetics.

Next, Klum showed herself getting her wig on, with a crown, of course.

The model's last video from glam was a close-up on her makeup. Even on top of the prosthetics, she wore sparkly green eye shadow, fake lashes, and nude lip gloss. She also wore bright-blue colored contacts.

We wouldn't be surprised if she's already planning her costume for next year.
