Joshua “Josh” Washington, also called “The Psycho”, is the secondary antagonist of the 2015 video game Until Dawn.
To get this ending, Sam and Mike have to find Hannah’s journal in the mines near the end (in the area with the water wheel). If they do, they will tell Josh about Hannah’s fate, and Hannah will spare him instead of crushing his head.
Mike reunites with Sam just as the masked man appears before them and Ashley and Chris. The masked man reveals himself as Josh, who orchestrated the events at the lodge as revenge for his sisters’ presumed deaths.
He becomes a Wendigo by eating the head of the Flamethrower guy that is given to him by Hannah I believe. You can’t save him any other way. No he can’t kill anyone. He becomes a Wendigo by eating the head of the Flamethrower guy that is given to him by Hannah I believe.
Chris. If Chris is too slow to shoot the Wendigo away from him, he will be grabbed and decapitated. If Chris tried to shoot Ashley earlier that night, Ashley will resent him for it and back away from the door, locking Chris outside to be decapitated by the Wendigo.
Josh dies either way. Since it’s an elaborate prank by Josh, the only one who can “die” is him, since Josh’s body in that trap is fake, and he gets out unscathed. But Josh might feel betrayed and make snide remarks later in the game if you say you’ll save Ashley.
The Psycho is revealed to be Josh, who faked his own death as part of a prank on his friends. He never intended to kill any of them, though he doesn’t seem to mind hurting them as he knocks out Ashley and Chris, and is far from gentle in his pursuit of Sam.
A month after the fall, she reluctantly gave in to her hunger and decided to dig up Beth’s grave and eat her corpse for sustenance, unaware of the fact that the spirit of a Wendigo was possessing her. Within a few days, Hannah had transformed into a Wendigo and finally escaped the mines.
Shooting Emily dead will unlock the “Exorcism Of Emily” Bronze Trophy. If Mike doesn’t shoot her, you unlock the “Let eM In” Bronze Trophy instead. Pick wisely! BUTTERFLY EFFECT UPDATE #2: If Mike spares Emily’s life, Ashley and Sam will find out the real truth about the wendigo bite.
BUTTERFLY EFFECT UPDATE (Open Bear Trap): If you decide to keep all of Mike’s fingers, Mike will end up destroying the machete, which he won’t be able to use in Chapter 9. BUTTERFLY EFFECT UPDATE (Amputate Fingers): If you amputate Mike’s two fingers, he’ll still be able to keep the machete intact for use in Chapter 9.
Ashley will hear a voice an be prompted with an important decision. You are presented with either investigating the voice or rejoin the group. Make sure to investigate the voice! This leads to a totem that can only be found on that path.
Josh and Sam are close friends, Sam being Josh’s second highest relationship. After the disappearance of Josh’s sisters, Josh and Sam seemed to lean on each other for support for their mutual loss of people close to them. During a quiet moment when the two are alone, he thanks her for coming to the annual meet-up.
Credits. If he was spared by Hannah, having no clue how to escape the cavernous mines, completely mentally broken and isolated from all human contact (which is implied to be his greatest fear), Josh is overwhelmed with hunger as the days pass, and he succumbs to the Wendigo Spirit.
Chris was the only character, besides Josh himself, that had no part in the prank the gang placed on Hannah resulting in her and Beth’s death, as he was passed out drunk at the time. However, Josh chooses to torture him the most with the two ‘who lives and who dies’ traps.
Twist 2 – Hannah survived the fall at the beginning of the game, and after a month of starving, she ate her sister’s corpse and turned into a wendigo. Enjoy!
The Wendigos are the main antagonists of the 2015 video game Until Dawn. The victims of an ancient curse placed on Blackwood Mountain, the Wendigo are humans possessed and transformed by the Native American spirit of the same name – the direct result of having resorted to cannibalism while on the Mountain.
BUTTERFLY EFFECT UPDATE (Investigate Movement): If you decided not to follow Chris, Ashley will get a glimpse of the Psycho. Plus, you’ll either find Sam tied to a chair or a dummy (depending on whether Sam escaped the Psycho in Chapter 5).
BUTTERFLY EFFECT UPDATE: If you took the Scissors, Ashley can use it against the Psycho. If she does, the Psycho will end up giving Ashley a black eye in return.
Consequences Of Choosing Ashley Or Kaidan
You lose a Soldier if you sacrifice Ashley, and lose a Sentinel if you sacrifice Kaidan. Survivor’s Guilt: Once you return to the Normandy, you can speak with whoever you saved, and they will discuss your decision with you.
Nick is arguably the toughest character to keep alive in The Quarry, but it is possible to save him with some help from the other counselors.
Chris and Ashley’s relationship status will depend on whatever choice Chris made in the gun trap. If he shot Ashley, they’ll be at zero. If he shot himself or did nothing, it will max out. The pair will listen to Emily – if she escaped the mines – and the Stranger inform them about the Wendigos.
The flamethrower guy? He dies because of Chris even if you did everything right. In fact Chris acknowledge his mistake and was mad at the interviewer thinking the stranger was some suspect. The guy that played the flamethrower is also the script writer for this game.
