Judd Apatow Says Stormy Daniels Was in Three of His Films The Hollywood Reporter

Judd Apatow dropped by Conan on TBS on Wednesday night, where he discussed his working relationship with adult-film star Stormy Daniels.

“Stormy Daniels, who is in the news a lot right now, is in three of your movies,” Conan said to the director, who responded, “That’s right, thank you. I was ahead of the curve on the whole Stormy Daniels thing.”

Daniels has recently been in the news for her alleged affair with President Donald Trump in 2006, when Trump was host of NBC’s The Apprentice.

Apatow, who was on the show to promote his upcoming two-part HBO documentary The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling, went on to say of Daniels, “She’s very nice and super smart and great to work with, so we kept asking her to be in all of our movies. Maybe because we were scared to meet other adult-film stars.”

Daniels has credited roles in Apatow’s The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005) and Knocked Up (2007).

The director, who has been very outspoken in his criticism of Trump, noted that he is “disturbed by the whole thing, the sex stuff with Trump.” He criticized the president’s response to the infamous Access Hollywood tape in which Trump dismissed it as “locker-room talk.”

“Have you ever been in a locker room? No one talks,” Apatow said. “If I was in a locker room and it was naked and someone walked up to me and said, ‘Do you like to grab the pussy?’ I’d be like, ‘Whoa!'”
