Casino, NSW: Two teens killed, three in hospital after car loses control

Two teenagers have been killed and three others are in hospital after a horror crash in NSW’s north in the early hours of Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Plains Station Rd in Tabulam, 60km west of Casino, after hearing reports of a single-vehicle crash at 3:20am.

It is understood the Volkswagen Tiguan had lost control and smashed into a tree.

Two teenagers were declared dead at the scene by paramedics. They are yet to be formally identified.

“Three teenagers were taken to hospital, with one in a serious condition while the two others are being treated for minor injuries,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.

Police have established a crime scene at the crash site as investigations get underway into how it occurred.

Specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are examining the scene.

Plains Station Road remains closed in both directions with local traffic diversions in place.
